The Moka Pot works on gas, electric, and ceramic hobs and with its compact and stylish design, it's ideal for travel and camping, so you can brew bloody good coffee on the go. Simple to use and clean, the Moka Pot is essential for any coffee lover who wants consistently great coffee.
Note - not suitable for induction hobs.
Basic Brew Recipe - this recipe is for a 3-cup Moka Pot. Change the weight of water and coffee depending on the size of your pot using the brew ratio of 1:10 as a starting point.
1. Fill the bottom chamber of the Moka Pot with 200g of water, up to the safety valve. DO NOT fill above the safety valve.
2. Add 20g of finely ground coffee to the filter basket, then level it without pressing it down.
3. Assemble the Moka Pot by placing the filter basket into the bottom chamber and screwing the top chamber securely on.
4. Place the Moka Pot on a stovetop over a low heat and wait for the water to boil, creating pressure and pushing the coffee through to the top chamber. You’ll hear a hissing sound when it's almost done.
5. Remove the Moka Pot from the heat once the top chamber is full of brewed coffee and no more liquid is being pushed through into the top chamber.
6. Pour the coffee into your cup and enjoy.
